The Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA) is used in both the US and international schools around the world to help teachers monitor student growth in reading, as well as plan future reading for individual students. In this session we will explore the many parts for the DRA and try administering a few ourselves. We will discuss tips to make it a more effective assessment tool. This session is a great introduction into the programme or to refresh your DRA assessment techniques.
Looking for a way to relieve some tension after a long hard day at work? This workshop is offering an introduction to reflexology and how you can incorporate it into your own life. Reflexology is the practice of massaging the feet with the goal of benefiting other organs of the body, or to improve general health. Please come prepared to learn and practice reflexology on fellow students. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat or towel for lying on the floor. Also wet wipes and hand cream would be handy for doing the massage.
Sandy Leipheimer and Nancy Tsurumaki, who are certified American Red Cross instructors, will offer a combined course in Adult/Child CPR and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).CPR and AED certification through American Red Cross! Come learn how to save a life or defibrillate someone...we hope you don't try this on Monday, but if the opportunity presents - you will be prepared to act!You must attend all class sessions and successfully pass the written exam and skills check-off to receive certification.

病気やけが、災害から自分自身を守り、けが人や急病人を正しく救助し、医師または救急隊員などに引き継ぐまでの救命の手当・応急の手当を行うための知識と技術を学ぶ講習会です。赤十字救急法について・一次救命処置 ・心肺蘇生法・AEDを用いた除細動 ・気道異物除法
＊講習会終了後、検定を実施し認定証（3年間有効）「赤十字救急法基礎講習修了者」が発行されます。
＊参加人数が２０名に満たない場合は、この講習会は実施されません。その際はご連絡さし上げます。
